Janey Godley's sweet reunion with beloved dog Honey as she moves into hospice for palliative care

Janey Godley has shared the adorable moment she was reunited with her beloved sausage dog, Honey after announcing that she has now settled into a hospice to receive her end of life care.The Scots comedian, 63, who sadly announced the news of her terminal cancer last month after the disease had spread, posted an update with fans yesterday to confirm she is now staying at the hospice, where she will remain throughout her palliative care.Janey has now taken to social media to share a clip of her emotional reunion with her precious dog, Honey who can be heard crying out with excitement as she jumps on top of her.The Glasgow-born star, who found viral fame during the pandemic with her dubbed pastiches of Nicola Sturgeon’s coronavirus news briefings, has shared regular videos and updates with fans of her adorable Dachshund over the years.Little Honey's tail can be seen wagging as she greets Janey in the adorable clip which the comedian captioned: "All the love." In another clip, the pooch can be seen enjoying some TLC while wrapped up in a blanket on Janey's hospice bed while she receives some ear scratches.Janey, who was first diagnosed with cancer in November 2021, moved into the hospice this week after discovering that her ovarian cancer had sadly spread and there was nothing more that doctors could do for her.The mum-of-one received the all-clear in 2022 and said in a post to X that a scan showed “no evidence of disease”.

In a later announcement, she sadly updated that a further scan had shown signs of the disease in her abdomen.Janey was forced to cancel her autumn 2024 tour due to her illness and left fans heartbroken when she posted a video update to X last month to announce her end of life care to fans.Get the latest
