Jamie Foxx rushed to hospital in mystery ‘medical emergency' as family ask for prayers

The actor had been filming for a new film this week when he was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Foxx's family announced on Instagram that the star was in hospital.
Posted to his daughter Corinne's account, the statement said he had suffered a "medical complication" but reassured his fans that he was "on the way to recovery".
But a source close to the actor described it in more serious terms as a "medical emergency" when speaking with TMZ. The family's statement read: "We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday [Tuesday]. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. "We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers.
