It's been a long, lonely few months for James Corden doing his Late Late Show by himself from his garage. He's got bandleader Reggie Watts to keep him company from afar, but it's not the same thing doing a late night show without a studio audience.

So, on Thursday night (June 25), Corden noted that a new company is providing virtual audiences to performers to make their gigs feel more real.

James gave it a shot, unfortunately, his audience consisted of just two: the Muppets' Statler and Waldorf, those infamously sour-pussed haters.
