Grace Dent has left the I'm A Celebrity jungle hours after fans of the show expressed their concerns for her as her appearance had changed. On the show over the weekend, the 50-year-old looked pale and was a shadow of herself, saying that she "just wants to go home".

Grace, who is known for her strong opinions about food on shows like MasterChef was selected to do the Bushtucker trial Down The Tubes but barely reacted and stayed mute the entire time hosts Ant and Dec were in camp, writes The Mirror.ITV have now confirmed the food critic has left the show for good.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the show said: "Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike."Grace is now expected to head back to London via Brisbane airport.

It is likely that the rice and beans diet was a real "shock to the system" which she had worried about prior to going into camp, and she felt she could not continue.
