A new fan zone, a waterfront boardwalk, 'world class' public squares, thousands of new homes, water taxis, a new park and a new bridge over the Ship Canal.
They're just some of the ideas being proposed in an ambitious and wide-ranging masterplan to restore the 'grandeur' to Old Trafford.
Over the next 15 years it aims to breathe new life into a huge 83 hectare site around Manchester United's football stadium, taking in the Imperial War Museum, Victoria Warehouse and the waterfront along the Manchester Ship Canal, which is being dubbed Trafford Wharfside.
Some 5,000 new homes could be built in a walkable 'five minute neighbourhood', while the 'underwhelming and underused' canalside could be opened up to create a 'major new destination'.
