"At the end of a long working day in the desert, a beer is quite welcome,” Richard said. “It was almost needed on a cellular level!” The presenter, who suffered head injuries and was in a coma for two weeks after crashing in 2006 filming Top Gear, accidentally drives into a minefield in this special.
However, Richard has revealed that his various accidents over the years haven't frightened him. "I'm not more scared than usual,” he shrugs. “It’s not normal to do the things we do with cars. The minefield was a bit alarming but I only just went into it…” The hit Prime Video show is coming to an end, with this special - titled San Job - being its penultimate episode. “We wanted to end it in some semblance of dignity,” he said. “But we’re not there yet. There’s another magnificent film coming out later in the year.
