Kate Middleton was left feeling "humiliated" and says Prince William treated her "like a doormat" while hanging out with other girls at clubs when they took a break from their relationship, proving even the Royals can have ups and downs. The senior Royal couple are of course now happily married with three kids, Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte.

Kate and William first met at the University of St Andrews in Scotland as they sparked a young romance. However they broke up a few times before they tied the knot according to reports in the Mirror, calling things off in 2004 and then again in 2007 with their second split leaving Kate "desperately upset".When asked about the split during their engagement interview, William simply said they had to "find their own way" and "grow up", but didn't divulge any further details on it why they had separated.

However, the Mail on Sunday's royal correspondent Katie Nicholl claimed that they went their separate ways as William felt the "fun" had gone from their relationship.

The report claims that Kate was left "humiliated" after Prince William was spotted out and about at various London nightclubs with different girls following their split.Friends of Kate claimed harsh words were exchanged by the pair at the time and Kate felt that William was "cheapening her image" with his behaviour.
