Iconic singer dies at 52 in 'sudden and tragic' circumstances as band pays tribute

Danielle Moore, the vocalist with 90s electronic music group Crazy P has died in "sudden and tragic circumstances", her band has announced.

Writing on the official Crazy P Facebook page, the band said: "We are devastated to announce the unbelievable and shocking news that our beautiful Danielle Moore has died in sudden and tragic circumstances.This happened on Friday afternoon August 30th. "We cannot believe the news ourselves and we know it will be the same for all of you.

She gave us so much and we love her so much. Our hearts are broken. We need time to process that this has happened. Danielle lived a life driven by love compassion community and music.

She lived the biggest of lives. We will miss her with all our hearts X" The band was initially formed by Chris Todd and Jim Baron - and originally called Crazy P***s - after the pair met while studying at the University of Nottingham in the mid 1990s.They became known for their electronic blend of soul, house and disco, and were later joined by Danielle as vocalist and Tim Davies on bass and percussionist Mav Kendricks.Their first studio album, A Nice Hot Bath With..., was released in 1998 under the Paper Recordings record label in Manchester.
