'I went to watch ITV Beat The Chasers - it's a completely different game in reality'
dailyrecord.co.ukITV's Beat The Chasers is a hugely popular game show during which hopeful contestants battle it out answering questions whilst up against not one but all six of the Chasers.Hosted by Bradley Walsh, the show takes place in front of a studio audience, and going to watch an episode being filmed is a great way for fans of the show to see what goes on behind the scenes.One fan, The Mirror writer Charlotte McIntyre, went to see how the TV programme is created in real-time and got the low-down on what Bradley and the rest of the Chasers are really like.She described the filming as 'completely different' to what we see on TV at home, noting how the Chasers sometimes have an 'unfair advantage' over the hopeful contestant.Here is Charlotte's experience when watching the filming of Beat The Chasers.As we waited for the filming to begin, the audience was warmed up by a comedian who cheekily told us to show the camera our dazzling white teeth and clap like we'd never clapped before.
It was then time for Bradley Walsh to make his entrance, which was filmed several times from different angles.Bradley was the same lovable presenter when the cameras stopped rolling as he is on The Chase and Beat the Chasers, chatting to the audience at every opportunity.
The Chasers, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Darragh Ennis, Jenny Ryan and Mark Labbett were next to join the studio.
The Chasers attempted to join in with Bradley's banter in between filming takes, but their desk is as high up as it looks and those down on the studio floor struggled to hear them.
