Amy Dowden is returning for a second series of her BBC Wales show Dare to Dance, teaching extraordinary people across Wales how to strut their stuff on the ballroom floor once again.
However for this series, Amy had to lean on her Strictly Come Dancing colleagues for help when she was diagnosed with breast cancer during filming.
The Strictly star has spent the last nine months battling grade three breast cancer, undergoing a mastectomy and chemotherapy in treatment after starting to shoot Dare to Dance.
In an exclusive interview with OK!, Amy said that "so grateful" that Dianne Buswell, Graziano Di Prima, Oti Mabuse and Carlos Gu stepped in to coach the contributors on her show while she recovered from her mastectomy. “I was so grateful that they came on board and did everything to help,” she said. "I know them and their personalities and their teaching styles. "I knew Carlos would be perfect for Kirsty [who grew up dancing but stopped when she lost her sight], and Graz would be perfect for Rich [a firefighter who loves street dance]." She added, "It was a lovely surprise for the contributors – they got to learn from them, pick up tips from them.
