There’s nothing more frustrating than going to take a sip of your fruity cocktail, lemonade or juice in the garden, only to find that a fly floating in it.

Well - not this summer. For the past three years, I’ve been using this trick after I saw it shared by the wine brand Silver Bay Point back in 2019.

And the best part is that you probably have all the tools you need without having to pop out to the shops. So if you’re fed up of insects buzzing around your tipple, all you’re going to need is a paper cupcake case.
