After a season of plenty of animosity between aging comedy legend Deborah Vance (played by Jean Smart), and Einbinder’s character, the young writer Ava, it seemed like the season ended with everything wrapped up neatly. A little too neatly, at first, for Einbinder. “I was very scared. I thought that I was going to be fired,” she tells Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast. “I was going through all of the panicky fear things. It’s kind of insane in retrospect, but I think I was a little too close to the case. Like, it really, really, really upset me. I was crying for a couple hours.”

Taylor Swift is facing a $1 million copyright infringement lawsuit after a Memphis, Tennessee, poet on Tuesday filed documents claiming the singer-songwriter copied elements of her book to create the 2019 album "Lover."  Teresa La Dart's lawsuit claimed Swift used "creative elements that copied the expressive design arrangements" for her seventh studio album from a book La Dart published with the same "Lover" title on Jan. 12, 2010.  In court documents, La Dart's book was also registered with the U.S. Copyright Office in February.

HBO has released the official trailer for its upcoming documentary charting the rise and fall of Diana, Princess of Wales. The film, titled The Princess, comes shortly before the 25th anniversary of the princess’ death in 1997 and will be released on the US streamer on August 13. It will explore Diana’s complex relationship with the media and her romance with the Duke of Wales, including their marriage through to their infamous split in 1992.The film will also show how the paparazzi frenzy contributed to Diana’s death at the age of just 36.

The BBC has vowed “never” to broadcast Princess Diana’s 1995 Panorama interview with Martin Bashir again following the “shocking” revelation of how it was obtained, the corporation’s director-general has said. An inquiry led by Lord Dyson found the BBC covered up Mr Bashir’s “deceitful behaviour” to secure his headline-making interview with the Princess of Wales and “fell short of high standards of integrity and transparency.” The report said that the journalist was in “serious breach” of the BBC’s producer guidelines when he faked bank statements and showed them to Diana’s brother Earl Spencer to gain access to her.
