Ant and Dec announced that the TV nutritionist Gillian, 63, and former Happy Mondays singer Shaun, 60, had lost the first survival trial of the series after a gruelling challenge.The other pairs were Georgia "Toff" Toffolo and Phil Tuffnell, and Andy Whyment and Jordan Banjo.
Unfortunately, Gillian and Shaun lost despite a series of valiant efforts. But in the lead up to the trial, it wasn't all friendly between the pair, as Gillian was convinced that Shaun had specifically chosen her to be his partner as revenge over their longstanding past feud.
While it's only been a few days since Gillian made her surprise entrance into the jungle, in a series that was pre-recorded last September, it was one of the most unexpected twists show bosses could have done.
