A £250 million indoor tropical spa near the Trafford Centre has been granted planning permission. The Therme Manchester and Peel L&P wellbeing resort will replace the current EventCity events building in Trafford Park, which is being relocated to the old site of Soccerdome.

The three-storey centre on Barton Dock Road will include a large family zone with waterslides, a wave pool, indoor and outdoor pools, steam rooms, exotic palm tree relaxation areas, luxury spa experiences and a two acre wellbeing garden.

A dedicated adults’ area will have warm-water lagoons among spectacular botanical gardens, swim-up bars, therapeutic mineral baths and beautifully designed steam rooms and saunas.
