Sunday marked the 25th anniversary of the death of Brent Hershman, the second assistant cameraman on Pleasantville who was killed March 6, 1997, when he fell asleep at the wheel and slammed his car into a utility pole while driving home after working a 19-hour day – which had been preceded by four 15-hour days in a row. His death sparked industry-wide demands for shorter workdays and inspired a 2006 documentary by legendary filmmaker Haskell Wexler.

The 2022 American Country Music Awards (ACMs) are here.  The highly anticipated 57th annual award show is co-hosted by the previously announced ACM male and female artists of the year nominees, Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett, respectively, alongside the country music queen, Dolly Parton, at Allegiant stadium in Las Vegas on Monday.  Country music fans are set to be wooed with performances by some of the genre’s brightest stars, including Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton and more.  Parton, who opened the evening by dedicating the entire show to Ukraine, will perform a duet with Kelsea Ballerini.
