As millions of Brits recover from the recent heatwave that swept across the country last week, you may either be delighted or horrified to know that rain and overcast sky will persist across Greater Manchester today.

According to the Met Office, temperatures will remain quite moderate with little to no sun to be seen on Monday, July 25. Temperatures will reach a high of 18C in the mid-afternoon and will retain an average of 17C for the rest of the day.

The Met Office said: "Occasional bright spells are expected, although there will often be a lot of cloud giving a good scattering of showers, most of which should be light.

A fairly warm start, although feeling fresher during the day in the northwesterly breeze. Maximum temperature 20 °C." Read more: Did 'gang bosses' escape because cops were squabbling?
