A casualty was rushed to hospital after a crash involving a motorbike in Sale on Wednesday evening (July 27). A large emergency services response rushed to the scene of the smash, on Dane Road.

An air ambulance also landed in nearby Crossford Bridge Playing Fields as a precaution, but it is thought the casualty was treated at the scene before then being taken away to hospital by road.

Officers erected a large cordon, blocking off the quiet residential street between Dalton Street and Danefield Road. The M.E.N also understands a car was involved in the collision.

The condition of the motorcyclist has not yet been confirmed but Greater Manchester Police have been approached for more information.
