‘Homestead’ TV Companion Series Casts Charles Esten, Jill Wagner & Sam Page
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Angel Studios (Sound of Freedom) is rounding out cast for TV series Homestead, a continuation of the upcoming film of the same name starring Neal McDonough, Bailey Chase and Dawn Olivieri.
Charles Esten (Outer Banks, Nashville), Jill Wagner (Lioness, Braven) and Sam Page (Mad Men, House of Cards) have been cast in the post-apocalyptic drama series about the survival of a community within a doomsday compound.
They join the film’s Chase and Olivieri, who will also appear in the series. Based on Jeff Kirkham and Jason Ross’ bestselling book series Black Autumn, Homestead the series revolves around a family’s attempts to survive after a world-ending tragedy.
Described as The Last of Us meets SEAL Team, Homestead is set against the backdrop of a collapsing civilization and tells the gripping story of two families—the ultra-prepared wealthy family and the military veteran family they’ve hired for security—who clash in a world teetering on the brink of chaos.
