This Morning staff furious as they are overlooked for NTAs
ok.co.ukThe National Television Awards is one of the biggest nights in the TV calendar, and it is now just a day away. As the excitement builds for the nominees, some staff at ITV's This Morning are reportedly furious as they will not be attending this year's ceremony.
Bosses at the daytime show are said to be "slimming down" their party, and they will only take their on-screen stars and their senior executives to the prestigious event.The behind-the-scenes staff will have to watch from home on Tuesday, 5 September, as the TV show attempts to win the Daytime award, and host Alison Hammond goes for the Best Presenter gong.
It has been a turbulent few months for the programme following the Phillip Schofield scandal, which saw him confess to an affair with a much younger colleague.
On the back of his departure, the show was hit with many people claiming that there is a "toxic culture" backstage. Sources suggest that those claims may be the reason for a smaller team heading to the awards in London tomorrow evening.
