Historic church facing imminent closure saved - thanks to an act of incredible generosity

We're Salford people, when there's a crisis with people in need we always rise to the occasion."Designed in 1865 by a renowned Victorian architect, St Luke’s Church is known as the ‘Church on the Hill’.

Found on a mound above Liverpool Street the building was placed on the Historical Heritage at Risk register due to it’s leaky roof back in 2018.

The state of the church has further deteriorated since then with some parts having to be closed off due to safety concerns.
