Helicopter and search dogs drafted in to trace missing Scot last seen on mountain top

A missing hillwalker, last seen at the top of the mountain, has sparked a major search operation in the Highlands. Stuart Baillie from Bo'ness, Falkirk set out to walk on a route to Aonach Beag and Aonach Mor from the Steall Falls car park in Glen Nevis on Monday.

The 60-year-old was last heard from at around 2.10pm that afternoon the summit of Aonach Beag, a mountain near Ben Nevis and Fort William.

Having not returned as planned, he was reported missing at around 6.35pm that evening. Lochaber, Glencoe and Police Scotland mountain rescue teams, dogs from Search and Rescue Dogs Association and a Coastguard helicopter have been drafted in to help trace Stuart.
