Appeal to have pizza vending installed on Lanarkshire street fails

An appeal seeking permission to install a pizza vending machine on a Lanarkshire street has been turned down. Councillors on North Lanarkshire’s planning committee unanimously refused the original application for the automated machine at Leven Street in Motherwell six months ago.At that time they cited traffic and parking issues, plus the prospect of noise and disturbance being caused to neighbouring residents.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

An official decision notice was issued in late November and reported to members of North Lanarkshire’s planning committee at their latest meeting.
