Hearts fans rally behind plan to leave Championship trophy 'on the stand' amid online campaign

Championship trophy unlifted as a way of sending a message to the SPFL over their controversial relegation last season. The 2019/20 campaign was abruptly halted by coronavirus with eight games to play and the Gorgie side were relegated on points per game.

Chair Ann Budge lead a campaign for the league to consider reconstruction so that no club would be unduly damaged by the carnage wreaked by the pandemic but agreement could not be reached.

Jambos were understandably upset over their treatment given there was plenty of time to save themselves if the remaining games were played to a conclusion.
