Heartbroken mum of man who 'fell' from bridge hunts for body alone after cops call off search

The mum of a missing man who 'fell' from a bridge in Inverness has spent eight weeks searching for his body after a police search ended.CCTV footage confirmed Gary Stewart, 22, entered the water at Kessock Bridge on Sunday, November 19.

His mobile phone was later found at the scene.Mum Selina Stewart, 53, said the family have now been left in a 'devastating' limbo after the official search for her son's body in the Beauly Firth finished.

Gary's death is the third tragedy to rock the family after Selina's 17-year-old son Joe Stewart passed away in 2016 following the sad death of his own baby boy just 12 days earlier.The heartbroken mum-of-five told the Record: “I’ve been walking the shores for the past eight weeks every single day looking for Gary.

It’s absolutely devastating knowing that he’s out there.“It’s like no one cares. But he's my son. He’s got a family who love him and just want him home.
