A man has died after walking home from a pub in freezing weather a week before Christmas. The body of missing man, Jamie Scott, was found in farmland after he disappeared following a night out.The 53-year-old was last seen over the weekend after he went out for a drink in Hull on December 17.

Hull Live reports that he was seen twice on his walk home from a pub.Jamie's family posted on social media that at around 8pm on Saturday evening, the grandad was helped by a lady but "insisted on walking home to Kingswood from Hull Road, Beverley".

His family thinks he then headed towards the Jet Garage after 20 to 30 minutes. At 8.40pm, he was then spotted again on Grovehill Road in Beverley.

The total length of the journey to get home would have been over five miles in conditions of around -1C to -2C.Jamie never returned home and did not arrive to pick up his beloved dog Jasper - which was very out of character.
