Former St Mirren star Jamie McGrath revealed he won’t celebrate if he scores against his old employers this afternoon as a mark of respect.
But the Irishman cheekily added he’s still targeting a hat-trick as he returns to Paisley for the first time today. McGrath quickly became a fan favourite at the SMiSA Stadium after notching a hatful of goals in his two-year stint with the club, which saw him bag his first international caps and a move to now English Championship side Wigan.
While the 26-year-old insists he’ll always hold the Saints close to his heart, the playmaker admits he’s hoping to be the bad guy this afternoon by helping Dundee United pick up all three points in Paisley.
