Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Stephen Robinson shrugs off Northern Ireland job speculation as St Mirren boss and Neil Lennon named contenders

Stephen Robinson insists he's had no contact from Irish FA chiefs about taking over the Northern Ireland job. The St Mirren boss has again been tipped as a serious contender to replace Ian Baraclough, with former Celtic manager Neil Lennon also rumoured to be in the running after being axed by Omonia Nicosia.

But Robinson - a former Northern Ireland youth team boss - says he has enough on his plate in Paisley without worrying about jobs back home.

The former Motherwell boss was interviewed for the post before Baraclough got the gig in 2020 and is expected to be one of the frontrunners again as Belfast chiefs begin their hunt for a new gaffer.

Speaking after the Buddies' 2-1 win over Dundee United, Robinson said: "I have had no contact whatsoever. I have a hard enough job here without taking my focus off it.
