Family pay tribute to 'thoughtful and kind' son after body found in search

The family of 'thoughtful and kind' man whose body was found in Marple after he went missing have paid tribute to him. The body of 31-year-old Christopher Barlow was found on Sunday, June 6 after he was reported missing to police on the previous Sunday.

Officers and specialist water search teams were pictured on the scene beside the Peak Forest Canal. Mr Barlow's family have now issued a touching statement paying tribute to him, describing him as a 'much-loved son, brother and uncle'.

In full, the tribute issued through Greater Manchester Police said: "Our family are devastated by the loss of Chris. "He was a much loved son, brother and uncle, we will miss him always.
