Extra officers deployed ahead of potential vigil for Alexander John Soyoye

hereMr Soyoye died on November 5.His family described him as 'remarkable man' who was 'full of energy, intelligence and love'.

Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to Birchenall Street and established that Mr Soyoye had been stabbed.Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.Brent Tchipenda, 18, appeared before a judge yesterday (Thursday) accused of murder.

He also faces a charge of violent disorder.No pleas were entered during a short preliminary hearing at Manchester Crown Court.Judge Alan Conrad QC remanded Mr Tchipenda in custody.A trial has been set for July. .
