Ex On The Beach star Jess Impiazzi was rushed to hospital on Wednesday as her battle with chronic illness Lupus continues.The TV star, 34, opened up about her diagnosis of the chronic illness in September after she revealed her hair began falling out and she started coughing up blood.

But the actress and former Celebrity Big Brother star has now taken to social media to reveal that she had suffered heart palpitations and shortness of breath, leading to her latest hospital dash.

She told her 264,000 followers that she had to have further X-rays and an ECG (electrocardiogram) to assess her heart's activity.

Uploading a photo from her hospital bed, Jess explained: "OK little update and thanks for anyone messaging me. I've had X-Rays on my lungs and bloods done and had ECG because of my heart palpitations, now waiting in hospital... "Thank you to the Lupus community you are amazing." Then in another photo shared to her Story, Jess continued: "To my lupus followers, I have been very short of breath today, and I'm now wheezing when I breath in, has anyone who has lupus suffered from this with a cough?" She continued: "If so, do I need to get checked? (I tried to call my GP earlier but next appt is 16 weeks time." Earlier this year, the former Celebrity Big Brother star revealed that she was terrified that she was dying, after her body began "completely failing her." Jess opened up about how she and her footballer boyfriend Jermaine Pennant, were left fearing that she may be suffering from stomach cancer, but later discovered that she was suffering with Lupus.
