one million households across the UK are due a refund on their energy bills after it emerged that 18 suppliers overcharged customers after they asked to switch suppliers or moved to a better tariff.The energy regulator Ofgem said that the firms will pay £10.4 million back to customers for the failures that date back to 2013.Commenting on the announcement, Linda Dodge, energy expert from SaveOnEnergy.com/uk, said: “Across the UK, people are owed money by their previous or current energy suppliers.
