The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) has issued an update for people on tax credits waiting for their first installment of the £650 cost of living payment.
The government is providing a one-off payment to help people struggling to pay bills amid the cost of living crisis. Eligible people are those receiving certain benefits or tax credits.
While the majority of people on Universal Credit, Income Support, Pension Credit and other benefits will have received the first of two installments last month, people who receive Tax Credits will not get their first payment until September.
The DWP has now confirmed that the majority of those people will receive the £326 payment automatically between September 2 and September 7.
