Dion Charles believes he has had to blow off a few cobwebs after only recently returning to playing to competitive club football but is returning closer to full match fitness after a tremendous first goal for Bolton Wanderers.
The striker joined Wanderers at the start of the January transfer window for an undisclosed fee from Accrington Stanley. He had not played for the Wham Stadium side since September following a contract dispute at John Coleman's side. Charles said he knew it was a goal from the moment it left his boot and believes the late winner and celebrations with the travelling Wanderers fans was a special moment.
Dapo Afolayan came off the bench to tee up Charles and the striker believes the club's top scorer being a substitute shows the quality Wanderers possess in the final third and why it keeps him on his toes.
