He suffered a compound skull fracture and is set for a spell on the sidelines while he recovers, but the former Feyenoord man is keeping his chin up as he gave fans a thumbs-up on Instagram.
And while that nasty blow to the head is still evident, he's not letting him keep him down. He wrote 'Surgery' with a tick to indicate all had done to plan, before adding: "Now it's time to rest and heal.
Hope to see you all soon."
