Daniel Day-Lewis makes rare appearance with wife Rebecca Miller at NYC movie premiere

Miller, who married the “Lincoln” star in 1996 and is the daughter of celebrated playwright Arthur Miller, sparkled in a sleeveless black top while wearing shimmering pants paired with a chic handbag.
The duo’s son kept it simple by wearing a plain white t-shirt with blue jeans. Miller’s film, which stars Anne Hathaway, “Game of Thrones” alum Peter Dinklage, Marisa Tomei and Nicole Kidman, tells the story of composer Steven Lauddem (Dinklage) who suffers from writer’s block but later regains his creativity after a one night stand.
Day-Lewis’ appearance marks the first time the “Will Be Blood” star stepped out on a red carpet since the premiere of his 2017 film “Phantom Thread” several months after he announced that he was done making films. “I knew it was uncharacteristic to put out a statement,” said the actor to W magazine after stating his intention to retire. “But I did want to draw a line.
