It's been just over a year since the son of Audrey Robers returned to Weatherfield and the broke businessman had been plotting and scheming and bumping off those standing in his way.
His first murder came after Jenny Connor's love interest Leo Thompkins got close to exposing his money-making plan. Stephen pushed him to his death in a wheelie bin after they got into a tussle on the Underworld factory steps and a couple of months later, after he realised that his son wasn't in Canada and had started to do some digging, Stephen killed Leo's dad Teddy with a hole punch. And it's actually a wonder his own mother is still alive after he planned to fleece her when he first arrived back in Weatherfield from Milan where his relationship and career were secretly in tatters.
