But in a twist last month, it turned out her on-screen beau Joel Deering (played by Callum Lill) was actually behind the tragic demise of Lauren Bolton.
Away from the drama of the cobbles, Channique has been smashing personal goals, having just crossed the finish line at the Manchester 10k marathon alongside her fellow cast members.
Taking to Instagram, the 27-year-old actress showcased her shiny medal and got real about her weight loss transformation, confessing she shed a whopping 100lbs after years of battling with her body image and experimenting with "diets, shakes and tablets".
