Coronation Street fans will be left on tenterhooks next week when the broke businessman-turner-serial killer finally leaves Weatherfield but just how he exits the famous street remains to be seen.

There are just days to go until Stephen's reign of terror reaches a dramatic climax on the cobbles, more than a year after he made a sudden return from Milan to be reunited with the Platts.

As we know, it didn't take long for viewers to see that the reason for his return wasn't at all innocent as with his finances in a dire state, he planned to fleece his own mother.

And he has since bumped off anyone to stand in the way of his money-making schemes. And whether he escapes justice or finally pays for his crimes, one thing is for sure and that is that actor Todd Boyce is finally bidding farewell to Stephen and Corrie, leaving shock and devastation in his wake. "I think the audience will be pleased with how it shakes out," the soap star told us. "They have put up with a lot of frustrations.
