Coronation Street star Colson Smith has been supported by his co-stars and followers as he revealed he made the decision to undergo a procedure to change his appearance.

The actor confirmed he'd had a hair transplant earlier this week in a post shared on social media on Wednesday (July 17). He posted a smiling picture of himself in which he could seen sporting a different hairstyle than normal, with the front of his head shaved and some of his red locks remaining at the back.

Colson, who is known for playing PC Craig Tinker in the ITV soap, also gave a thumbs up for the camera as he held up a mug which featured a Mr Men inspired character but the writing said: "Mr Hair Transplant." The 25-year-old continued: "When I first met @bessamfarjo in 2023 he helped me understand my hair loss and the future of my hair, I feel so lucky to now be on my hair journey with such a talented and friendly team based here in Manchester. @farjohairinstitute." Colson then finished off his post by writing: "No more comb overs and baseball caps.
