Colvend Primary pupils enjoy success in K'Nex competition

Two pupils from Colvend have made the perfect K’Nexion. Schoolchildren from across the west of Scotland were invited to take part in the 2023 Creating Engineers K’Nex Challenge, supported by Glasgow Science Festival.

And out of more than 3,500 learners, Colvend P6 pupils Conor Jones and Makarii Kovalenko finished second in the grand final at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow.

Class teacher, Miss Bell, said: Both Conor and Mak had several opportunities to practise different constructions in class. They worked so well together and showed great engineering potential.

A huge well done.” The creating engineers contest gave pupils the chance to demonstrate their creative design and building skills by solving set engineering challenges using the construction set K’Nex.
