The Prime Minister told BBC Breakfast that the UK had "very reliable supply chains" but admitted there are "issues that we have to address".
It comes after some industry leaders warned that there would be gaps on supermarket shelves this winter, and around 200 military personnel were deployed to help deliver petrol to garages after some forecourts ran dry due to increased demand.
