Chris Schultz, the former Dallas Cowboys lineman who appeared as a CFL on TSN analyst on Canadian TV for over two decades, has died.
He was 61. "The football world has lost one of its most dedicated players and kindest souls. Chris Schultz, a former Toronto Argonaut and Dallas Cowboy, as well as a part of TSN’s coverage of the CFL, died of a heart attack on March 4," the Canadian Football League said Friday in a statement.
Born on Feb. 16, 1960, in Burlington, Ontario, Schultz after a high school football career signed with the University of Arizona.
In 1983, he was drafted by the Cowboys, with whom he played as a left tackle for three seasons. In 1986, Schultz returned home to play in the CFL for the Argonauts over nine seasons.
