Charlie Puth makes offer to street performer whose keyboard was smashed: report

“One Call Away” for street performer Andrew Hsu, whose piano was smashed by a passerby in Athens, Georgia, recently.The singer, 31, reached out to Hsu via Instagram DMs and contacted him regarding the incident.

According to messages obtained by TMZ, Puth penned to Hsu: “I’m sorry that bull s–t happened to you.”“Don’t let it ever discourage you from performing, I know it won’t … But that video just upset me so much,” the “See You Again” crooner added.

He continued: “You’re a wonderful player and I wish you nothing but success and constant musical inspiration.”Hsu responded to Puth by thanking him for the nice words and promising that he won’t ever stop singing.He also revealed to Puth that he attended his past show in Georgia and he wants to meet him and Billy Joel some day.Puth told Hsu that while he was unable to connect him with the “Uptown Girl” singer, he could offer him a ticket to one of his own shows.The Post has reached out to Puth for comment.On Wednesday, a video went viral of Hsu singing Joel’s hit “Piano Man” — and a woman knocking over his keyboard.

The woman was identified by TMZ as Shauntae Heard.Hsu told TMZ that he’s been receiving donations via Venmo to buy a new keyboard following the incident.
