Channel 4's Matty White has said his teenage son was 'mugged at knifepoint in Chorlton' and had his phone stolen in a social media post.

The food and drink presenter, known to viewers of Steph's Packed Lunch, has since told the Manchester Evening News that his son was approached by a group of three teenagers near to St Werburgh's Road tram stop at about 5pm on Wednesday (March 13).

He said they 'demanded he give them his phone' before one of the group revealed a 'knife sticking out of his jacket pocket'.

He was told to then tell them his phone password before they fled the scene with his phone.
