A sushi and steak restaurant that became a celebrity hotspot in Manchester has closed after two years. SakkuSamba on The Avenue in Spinningfields had initially announced it was closing for refurbishment earlier this month, but now it will transform into a new venue instead.
The vast venue had played host to a number of celebrity parties and influencers, including most recently music star Ne-Yo who held his tour after-party there with Mario in March.
SakkuSamba first opened in June 2022 after a lavish transformation of the former Artisan bar space split over two levels just off Bridge Street.
It included an avenue of pink sakura trees among tables and a giant light box that became a hotspot for guests to post the perfect "insta moment" from their night out.
