Struggling care at home services in South Lanarkshire are to be saved by a “temporary project team”.The move is one of a number of short, medium and long-term plans to improve the services in Rutherglen and Cambuslang and Hamilton following poor inspection results and a formal improvement notice being served on the Hamilton service.Ian Beattie, head of health and social care, said work was ongoing in conjunction with the Care Inspectorate to improve the standard of care.Mr Beattie told the social work committee earlier this month that the council had “identified a number of issues with the current structure”.He said: “One of the core issues is how did the service come to find itself in this position.“We need to complete a further review of
