South Lanarkshire residents are being asked to fall silent in memory of the key workers who have lost their lives in the fight against coronavirus.Since the outbreak began, 21,092 people in the UK have died from the virus, including more than 100 key workers.At 11am today (Tuesday, April 28), a minute's silence will be held across the UK to honour those NHS and care staff as well as people working in transport industry and other key workers who have died.UNISON, the Royal College of Nursing and the Royal College of Midwives last week called for the silence to be held to coincide with International Workers' Memorial Day on April 28.First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is among those encouraging everyone to join the silence.She said: "The silence
