CALL the Midwife's Helen George has blasted haters who criticised her for being pregnant while filming hit show. The 37-year-old welcomed her second child - daughter Lark - with partner and co-star Jack Ashton in November last year.

Helen was pregnant with Lark while filming series 11, and her pregnancy has been disguised by clever camera angles, clothing and props.

However, some negative Call the Midwife viewers have taken to social media to bizarrely criticise Helen for being pregnant when filming the show, and the actress wasn't standing for it.

Taking to Twitter after Sunday's episode, Helen wrote: "I’ve seen too many ridiculous comments about my pregnancy whilst filming @CallTheMidwife1 ( also thank you for the lovely comments!) "Women get pregnant, our bodies change.
