Miles Routledge, 21, said he travelled to the country because he likes 'risk' and to explore what he described as the 'worst places in the world', including a trip to Chernobyl two years ago.
A friend at Loughborough University said Miles had wanted to do 'something weird during summer to show off about' in September.
