‘Bridgerton’ fans are sending “basically” sex tapes to its casting director in the hopes of getting on the show

Bridgerton casting director Kelly Valentine Hendry has revealed that she’s receiving tons of “unsolicited” fan auditions for season four of the Netflix period romance.Hendry recently appeared on the “Should I Delete That?” podcast (via US Weekly) and shared that her inbox is being spammed with raunchy auditions, saying that some are “basically” sex tapes.“It’s every day… I get the most unbelievable videos, unsolicited,” Hendry said. “It’s sex basically.

It’s not actual sex but it’s quite punchy. It’s not nude pictures, but not far off.”According to the casting director, her inbox is always “90 percent” full of emails from fans seeking a part on Bridgerton.

She explained that fans are currently gunning for the role of Sophie Beckett, who in the novels is the love interest of Benedict Bridgerton (played by Luke Thompson on the Netflix series).Hendry then went on to explain how one woman sent an audition tape wearing a period costume so big it was large enough to hang off “scaffolding”. “It’s a bit sad, really, I don’t understand it,” the casting director said.Bridgerton, which has become known for its steamy sex scenes, debuted its third season this summer, with the new episodes centring on the love story between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).In an interview with InStyle, Coughlan revealed she actually asked to be naked on screen during the season in order to silence her body-shamers.“I specifically asked for certain lines and moments to be included,” she said. “There’s one scene where I’m very naked on camera, and that was my idea, my choice.
